On March 23, 1775, when Patrick Henry spoke the now famous phrase, “Give me liberty or give me death!” to arouse the Second Virginia Convention to arms against the tyranny of Great Britain, was he diminishing his faith, was he going against God, or was he rallying the spiritual enlightened “Liberty and Freedom” spirit within each of the Americans who laid the foundations to this great country. The teaching behind the Christian principle of “turn the other cheek” sometimes hinders many Christians to act accordingly to do the right thing, promote the right ideology and question the falsity of “political correctness”.
The believer is called to a higher standard, a calling which must condemn injustice, deceit, and corruption and yet many remain silent and turn the other cheek to the back hand which follows the forehand. The Bible is clear within scripture which we will refer to here; Romans (1 vs 32) “who, knowing the righteous judgement of God, that those who practice such things (evil) are worthy of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them”.
We are at a crossroad within this country and we must understand their comes a point within ones value system where truth, honor, integrity and moral clarity must prevail. The “turn the other cheek” ideology within the christian belief has a definitive truth to it and arises within ones life many times, however, there must be an understanding that there is a season in which everything under the sun has a purpose and a time, a season of turning the other cheek and a season of standing in the forefront for truth, honor, integrity and moral clarity. There comes a season within ones life were the inheritance of the past must be preserved for the future.
The world is spiraling out of control each and everyday. The President of America has slapped evangelicals (Founding Fathers as well) in the face for the past 8 years, embracing radical groups, such as: Black Lives Matters, Black Panthers, as well as homosexuals, trans-genders, gays, pro abortionists. He stands with the lawless and condemns the lawful.
We witness a young lady protesting against a (Iran) tyrannical government shot in the middle of the street, fighting for freedom and liberty (both of which we are losing daily) while we watched her die live on television, like a horrible movie. As a nation founded on freedom and liberty we have politically removed ourselves from supporting her cause and the cause of millions within the countries of Iran, Syria, North Korea etc. We have a radical progressive Muslim as President, witnessing death and destruction everywhere and he does nothing, why? The evangelical is silent, shackled within him / her self and stirring the pot, speaking out will draw undesired attention, so the best position to take is: SILENCE, it will soon be over.
We are witnessing a tyrannical dictator in North Korea threaten the world, showering them with nuclear weapons and we sit idly by and do nothing. We are witnessing cultures across the globe fight against tyrannical governments, as we sit idly by and watch as a they grab a foothold on our own freedoms and liberties.
1. The “rule of law” means nothing each and everyday within this country. Our very own President is a usurper of the Constitution.
2. Our taxes escalate and our representation diminish as republicans and democrats swap their exterior sheepish cloaks as the political winds blow to and fro, yet, underneath their wolfish desires are destroying our very foundation.
3. Sexual immorality abounds within our political leadership each and everyday as more and more politician’s succumb to sexual scandals.
4. Anti-liberty and anti-freedom laws are being forced upon us daily, as legislators pass bills they themselves do not read nor comprehend.
5. New legislation (“CAP & TRADE”) agenda’s are being forced upon us each and everyday as new bills amass thousands of pages of nothing more than tax increases and fees assessed against Americans so the rest of the world can pollute at will.
6. Restriction of the first amendment (Net Neutrality) which is the first “checkpoint” in hindering, deceit, corruption and injustices.
The fact is America has not functioned politically on “right or wrong”, it’s functioning on political selfish elitists adamant on changing our political landscape, attempting to transform our country of freedom and liberty into a Socialistic Marxist tyrannical government. Today, we celebrate sin and admonishes truth. The leaders of our country have no humility towards the sovereignty of God as our founding fathers had during the formation and establishment of this once great country. The founding fathers were full of humility which is evident by many past Presidents calling upon the nation to repent and fast during periods of challenges. I cannot recall an elected official declaring a proclamation of repentance and fasting within this generation, a period which has brought America to it’s knees politically, economically and socially.
The second part of Patrick Henry’s famous phrase was; “We have done everything that could be done to avert the storm on which is now coming upon us”. Folks, once again there is a storm on the horizon, a storm of a “tyrannical government” growing out of control.
What do we do as Christian?
Where does the “robe” of Christ end and the “shield and sword” (metaphorically) of Freedom and Liberty begin? How do we make sure our Judeo-Christian principles exist for our children and grand children.
The scripture is clear; Matthew 22:21 “Render therefore to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s and to God the things that are God’s.” So, what do we do against a tyrannical government, a government who is stealing our Liberty and Freedoms each and everyday?
Here is a thought; In 1775, the Lutheran pastor John Peter Gabriel Muhlenberg preached a sermon on Ecclesiastes 3:1. “To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven.” Concluding the message, he declared, “In the language of the Holy Writ, there is a time for all things. There is a time to preach and a time to fight. And now is the time to fight.” He then threw off his clerical robes to reveal the uniform of a Revolutionary Army Officer. He then led 300 men to battle and became a Colonel of the 8th Virginia regiment.
The revolutionary war was filled with ministers, they served in all areas of the military, from chaplains, to legislatures to leading troops into battle. These men knew the season they were in, and took up arms against the tyrannical assertions of Great Britain. Patrick Henry’s end of Battle quote; “Three millions of people, armed with the holy cause of liberty, and in such a country as that which we possess, are invincible by any force which our enemy can send against us.”
God also declares in Proverbs 13:22 “A good man leaveth an inheritance to his children’s children: and the wealth of the sinner is laid up for the just.” We are called to leave our inheritance of Liberty and Freedom to our children’s children, both of which we were on the verge of losing, we averted the storm of tyranny, and have raised up our voices and declared enough is enough. (metaphorically) “Shield and Sword”. The season for “turn the other cheek” has passed. Today, we depart the season of tyrannical progressive governance and move towards “law and order” and Constitutional governance. We have politically defeated the progressive socialist communist agenda, there is one more.
The Evangelical has spoken, rose out of the ashes of despair and complacency, voted, and rid the government of it’s progressive socialist communist agenda, (Obama / Clinton) and now the new phase begins, defeating Islam and making America Great Again.
Evangelicals REMAIN SILENT NO MORE.
Welcome to the Revelation!!
